A European Economic Interest Grouping (EEIG) was established in March 2007 to speed up the realisation of Corridor C. Partners in this EEIG are:

  • Infrabel
  • Réseau Férré de France (RFF)
  • Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois (CFL)
  • Schweizerische Bundesbahnen (SBB, associated)
  • ProRail

Organisation chart

The EEIG has a light organisation structure, enabling it to act quickly and decisively. The five partners meet on a regular basis and maintain close contacts. In addition they deliberate with the railway companies through working groups.

The signing parties to the Memorandum of Understanding "MoU" are represented in the Steering Group. It is chaired by Karel Vinck, who, in his position of European Coordinator, collaborates with the railway sector to implement ERTMS in the European railway network.

The Assembly consists of representatives from Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Switzerland and The Netherlands.

The Executive Committee is made up of representatives from the ministries of Transport of the partnering countries, the infrastructure managers and the European Commission.

The EEIG is headquartered in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

Its Chairman is François Jaeger (Luxembourg) and its manager is Paul Mazataud (France).

The Corridor C Manager is Patrick Nguyen (Belgium).
